It seemed like a good idea at the time. A eurodance dance mascot character based on a terrible cultural stereotype in the grand tradition of Dr. Bombay and Carlito. Except, you know, he’s Italian and likes pizza. It sounded like a good idea because we were drunk and/or high at the time. We meant to release this. We really did. A remix of this got put out on Disko Warp’s ill-fated Speedisko compilation series. We had every intention of releasing the original. Somehow we just… forgot. Probably because we were drunk and/or high at the time. Disco Gino even went on to have another “hit” (get it?), but his namesake debut single would remain unheard in its original form until today.
