I’m sure by now it’s no secret that Becky and I have been slowly working on a full-length album for release in 2012 - after dropping absolutely massive singles like “I Wanna Be A Ninja” and “Jump Around”, we’re revisiting Becky’s roots with a pumped up new remix of her 2nd single “Dumb Boys” - just to give you a taste of what’s to come :) This track is featured on Speedisko Vol. 5 in super ravey re-edit flavor
YEAH! This last spring Lucky Princess and I made the seminal 90’s-inspired techno anthem Text Me Too Much, which I promptly turned on its side for a pumped 180bpm happy cutecore speedtastic remix!!!!! This is also featured on Text Me Too Much (The Remixes), by Lucky Princess, but I had to put it on Speedisko 5 too because it’s so hot! Out now in iTunes + Bandcamp!
I’m so psyched about this track! I’ve been a huge fan of Shohei Matsumoto’s tracks… you probably know him as 4 Skips, Dank-One, Sham-Poo, SP Show-Hey, Heavens Wire, Bazooka… his music has been featured on tons of Japanese trance compilations, including the popular Hime Trance and Buchiage Trance series, plus absolutely massive remixes like Misa’s “Banzai” and Tsukasa’s anthem “Mermaid”. Shohei let me make a happy hardcore remix of “Hard Rock & Pinky Black” from Hime Trance 4, and I’m happy to feature it on Speedisko! I hope Shohei and I can collaborate again in the future!
Sonatia’s debut song “I Love You Goodbye” on Speedisko 2 was a bit of a surprise hit with eurobeat fans, but it’s always been too slow for my DJ sets, so I decided to give it a super pumped up speed remix to get the crowd going! I’m really happy with this one, especially the spacey sounding intro. I even threw in some psytrance influence as a shoutout to my ChickenHed peeps :) This is out now in Bandcamp & iTunes!
Speedisko Vol. 5 Preview Clips! Another Seattleite, my good buddy Graz makes his Speedisko debut on this volume as well! Graz has previously rocked the stage with Disko Warp at Kumoricon for the last two years with his energetic breakcore mash-up pop rave nonsense. His love letter anthem “Luv 2 H8 (Seattle)” (originally released on Teenage Bassland EP) gets the speed-up remix treatment by me, Initial P! This is out now in iTunes & Bandcamp
